Grade 7: £31,948 - £35,938 per annum
With up to date knowledge of research in safety-critical systems and the European Train Control
System you will undertake research on the reliability and
safety components as part of the EC-funded project "European Train Control System (ETCS) Advanced
Testing and Smart Train Positioning System".
This project aims to integrate a range of positioning systems to support the development and rollout
of ETCS and this work will be supported by both a RAMS analysis and lab studies.
This is a multi-site research project which involves companies and Universities from Belgium,
Germany, Spain and the UK and the successful applicant will be supervised by the University of
Glasgow Principal Investigator, Professor Chris Johnson.
This position has funding for up to 3 years from 1 February 2013
