The book arose from the August 2011 Bieleschweig Workshop we put on in Bielefeld to discuss the
accident. Longer contributions by Charles Perrow, John Downer, Lee Clarke, myself and Bernd Sieker,
as well as short essays by Stephen Mosley, Stefan Strohschneider, Volkmar Pipek and Gunnar Stevens,
who attended the research year on Communicating Disaster at the ZiF Institute and who wrote these
essays as part of a contribution from participants.
