This is not off-topic, but important for the future of the things that
matter in many areas
Deceleration of interest - I have used my postal vote to remain
Listening to the leave people leaves me, alongside Peter seriously
worried (we who have not lived abroad for a long time don't get
emotional enough to say "scared shitless")
What makes me upset (= seriously angry) is that we have not taken
advantage of programs that give Euro finding ( = our money back again)
in technology within Horizon 2020 and other programmes and not have been
efficient (= have screwed up badly) in administering other EU programs
like farm support.
I am older than Peter but we are both part of the first generation that
has grown up without some major European powers being at war with each
other - for hundreds of years
The EU is imperfect but all the Eurocrats I have spoken to are serious
people who are trying to achieve good things in Europe.
Even so- better inside the tent and pissing out than outside the tent
and pissing in
