Just get your IT department to whitelist  systemsafety at lists.techfak.uni-bielefeld.de  I have not seen any spam on it in all they years it has been running.  OTOH you can forgive the IT types as they normally have a job of sweeping water uphill with most IT users and it is “when” not “if” something gets through. 

 

As it is nearly Christmas*  your comment “please do not use the language of engineering in your posts, instead only use words that these IT types are ‘comfortable’ with.”  Would suggest some one should do an Engineering/IT translation guide for words we use.  A bit of humour but I suspect there would be more than a grain of truth in it.  

 

*I was told recently that every time someone mentions Christmas in November Santa has to execute another elf J

I have to negotiate with my IT department to release e-mails after they have sent me a “This is a content alert notification message” e-mail.  This is happening more frequently now; please do not use the language of engineering in your posts, instead only use words that these IT types are ‘comfortable’ with.
