I was at a talk last week by the developer of a
company that converts London cabs to hybrid.
Everything except the engine is left untouched,
and their software just controls everything related
to the electric motor.

They have to get each cab certified, and then lease them
out to drivers; there is a waiting list.

Dotted around London there are small companies converting
various cars to hybrid.

If you are in an 'electric' cab, you are in one of their
vehicles.
